Operation Technology, Inc. (OTI) is a full spectrum analytical engineering firm specializing in the planning, design, analysis, operation, training, and computer simulation of power systems.

Our research and development team is supported by a staff of engineers and scientists who have a combined knowledge of over 300 years experience. We are the proud developers of ETAP, the most advanced (offline and real-time) engineering tool for the simulation and analysis of power systems.

OTI applies an innovative approach for power systems to all aspects of business from new calculation methods in ETAP to performing system studies for the industry, our goal is to provide effective, quality solutions to electrical engineers.

Incorporated in 1986, OTI has widespread experience in the design, analysis, and operation of electric power systems.

A leader in power systems, one of the essential products developed by OTI is the Electrical Transient Analyzer Program (ETAP). First released in 1986, ETAP set the standard for power system analysis and design software.

ETAP was the first electrical power system analysis software to be approved for use in high-impact (nuclear) applications.

In 1996 OTI released the first, true 32-bit, power system analysis program on the market for Windows. ETAP is designed for Microsoft Windows and contains many advanced features including ODBC, multidimensional database, composite network nesting, and more.

OTI developed ETAP Real-Time to provide online (real-time) monitoring, simulation, control, and supervisory control capabilities. ETAP Real-Time uses real-time data and system topology (ETAP database) to estimate unmonitored power flows and voltages throughout the system.

Along with aggressive development and product maintenance, OTI utilizes a highly specialized team of engineers to conduct research and development projects as well as system studies.

In recent years, OTI has grown to include specialized consultants, design engineers, cutting-edge programmers, and an experienced sales staff. OTI will continue to meet its clients' needs by incorporating the latest advances in technology into both software development and engineering services.
