Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for inspecting, repairing and maintaining the electrical, plumbing, heating and ventilating, air conditioning, mechanical and other related systems
• Does general repairs such as painting, patching walls, security hardware, hanging shelves, pest control, landscaping, and outside building maintenance including roof and awning maintenance
• Moving of furniture such as desks, file cabinets and bookcases
• Responsible for renovations of existing facilities and the construction of new facilities
• Implements all maintenance and general procurement of materials and parts, schedules installations and oversees that such repairs are accomplished in a safe and timely manner
• Maintains accurate records with regard to annual inspection of equipment and general preventative maintenance
• Perform scanning of documents (Q.A., Engineering, Sales, etc.)
• Assist in the shipping department as needed
• Perform miscellaneous tasks including cleaning venetian blinds, fans , outside ashtrays, and garbage cans; changing AC filters; replacing light bulbs; maintaining equipment including water filtration systems; restocking supplies; and raising and lowering the flag
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions
• Conform with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of verifiable experience as a facilities manager
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills
• Ability to read basic operating instructions
• Responsible for completing safety training on all equipment and machinery
• Willingness to learn and teach new skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products or willing to learn

Education

• High school diploma or GED equivalency
