Analysis of Electrical Systems with Wind Energy - In Spanish
ETAP solutions for renewable energy offer a wide range of applications including modeling and simulation of Wind Farms. ETAP allows you to simulate the stable and dynamic state of wind energy sources including the integration with the transmission network. In this webinar, we will demonstrate ETAP solutions for wind turbine generation farms and application samples. We will present an analysis application case, including sample graphs that allow us to observe the dynamic system and it's behavior in ETAP, including wind turbine libraries, cables, protection relays, etc.

Currently, there are two major industry groups working toward developing generic models to use in power system simulations for wind turbine generators - the West Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) for Renewable Energy Modeling of the Task Force (REMTF) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) Technical Committee (TC) 88, of the Working Group (WG) 27.
Most of the commonly sold and installed technologies on the market today (both in the US and abroad) are type 3 and 4 units. All major suppliers of equipment sell one or both of these technologies. There are, however, a large number of Type 1 and 2 units in service worldwide, and they are still being sold. Their modeling is also of importance, which is included in ETAP.
